Colds are BAD!!!!!
Wow, a month can go by fast when you are sick the entire time. So a lot has happened since the last time I posted anything.
-I am now officially a year older.
-Nicole did fabulous cheer leading at the game.
-Nicole came down with a cold.
-There is not a room in my house that didn't get thrown up in.
-Ryan came down with a cold.
-He ended up being on some steroids and lets just say.... steroids on little ones are about as fun as wrestling a cat in the dark!!!!
When I say Nicole has a cold you may wonder whats the big deal? My whole life is put on hold and there is no or little sleep in sight. She throws up constantly and without warning and then there are the treatments every 4-6 hours day and night. Not to mention she is totally miserable and doesn't understand why this is happening to her. Then there is the fact that it lasts 2-3 weeks.
As soon as Nicole was getting on the mend Ryan came down with it. I hate colds when kids are so little!! You can't explain anything to them and you just feel so helpless. So with Nicole's asthma I have a good ear now for wheezing. Ryan really started wheezing of course over a weekend so I took him in on the following Monday and the doc prescribed us some hardcore steroids. The following day we started them and holy cow!!! My precious, laid back little man was a terror on wheels. He was so cranky I couldn't believe this was my baby. Yesterday, was the last day for his meds and today he is back to himself. My smiley, talkie, laughing bundle of joy. So if anyone has to have there little tikes on steroids put on your seat belt and get ready for a ride.
So knock on wood we are done with colds for a little while. I need a little break otherwise I decided I am going to turn into an insomniac. Hope all is going well for everyone and that you stay healthy.
